About CiviCooP

CiviCooP is a cooperative with CiviCRM experts as members. We help organisations that (want to) work with CiviCRM. We are not a supplier of CiviCRM, but like to work as partners with user organisations, where our role is the CiviCRM expert and the user organisation is the process expert.  We think it is important that organisations get and stay in control themselves, and we like to help them do that.

We know from experience that context is important to assess what is needed, and also believe very much in a holistic approach. In our view, a CiviCRM project is never about software alone, but always (and mainly) about different aspects (behaviour, organisation, skills and software, for example) that all need attention and can jointly deliver success in balance.

My approach is practical and pragmatic, organising is in my DNA. Through my way of working I try to enthuse others and get them moving. My years of experience allow me to help organizations implement and maintain CiviCRM in many different ways. Both setting up CiviCRM and a portal, as well as testing the software and training employees.  In whatever role: getting the job done together, that's where I get my energy from!

I have now been working in ICT for about 35 years in various roles, from programmer through project leader to various management positions/consultant and eventually back to programmer.

I have been working with CiviCRM since 2009, mainly as a developer but also as a consultant/project leader. In all those years I've had the opportunity to assist many organisations in thinking about how their processes can be supported with CiviCRM. Where necessary, I developed extensions and regularly made connections with other systems. For me, it is important in software development to look closely at what we want to achieve and how what we want to do contributes to that. I also like to get involved with people, group processes and behaviour.

I love to work together with organisation to find digital solution so that the people in the organisation could joyfully and nicely collaborate.

Open source is important for me, because it gives organisations the ownership and grip on their digital tools. I have a lot of experience with CiviCRM and when needed I can also make changes to CiviCRM.

It is important to think about the visual aspects of a portal or website. A good design benefits usability. I like to add my thoughts and expertise about the design of websites and portals. In addition, I also like to execute it.
